Volunteers perform much of the Clinic’s work, along with a core of paid staff. They are the lifeline of the Clinic, positively affecting everything we do and everyone we serve. Clinic volunteers come from all walks of life and they donate their talents in a variety of ways. Volunteer activities are available during daytime and evening hours 5 days a week.

In order to serve in a clinical capacity at Lloyd F. Moss Free Clinic, you MUST hold an active license through the Virginia Department of Healthcare Professionals.
- Providers – Doctors, Dentists, Nurse Practitioners, Physician Assistants
The number of people who receive health care services and medications at the Clinic is directly related to the number of volunteer health providers who treat patients in our medical and dental clinics. - Nurses, Pharmacists, Dental Hygienists, Counselors, etc.
Medical professionals of many disciplines are needed to help us meet our mission.

Volunteers serve in a variety of ways from answering phones and completing other administrative tasks to reviewing charts, screening patients for eligibility, and scheduling referrals.

Gifts have special meaning when offered “in memory of” or “in honor of” those who have touched our lives. Be sure to provide your gift recipient’s name and contact information so that we can notify them of your thoughtfulness! - In-kind Donations
The Clinic accepts donations of certain supplies such as office supplies, examination gloves, plastic utensils, paper plates, and napkins, in addition to restaurant supplied meals to feed our evening clinic volunteers. Due to space restrictions and specific patient needs we cannot accept all donations. If your office or organization is interested in providing a donated service or product that you believe may be valuable to our patients, please call us at (540) 582-1061.
